nigga.... PLEASE!
Cindy why u wasting your money on a laptop for games, laptops are useless for games, unless your willing to pay over a grand. And battery life is so bad on laptops your lucky to get a hour or 2 battery life out of them. Which doesn't really make them that portable anyways.
Plus you will be sitting at a table or desk to play games most of the time. Which makes the laptop pointless again.
I don't think u want the laptop for games at all you just wanna expose your self on web cam to all your gay friends while you in bed In which case a old cheap laptop would do for that and u could spend the 400 quid or so u would have left on a decent gaming pc.

you got a powerfull pc so get vista to be able play DX10 games.
Anyways if you don't plan this get a XP. there is up to 10% boost in performance. vista is just still buggy in 3d performance.
oooor do it like myself. make 3 partitions. 2x20GB+the rest.
install xp on first, install drivers updates etc.
then install vista on the second 20gb partition. Vista have advanced boot manager so each boot there will be a screen for 3 second where you can choose which os you want to boot.

I had vista for awhile but i had some problems with it so i went back to xp pro the 64 bit version.
As yellow has said xp is better for frame rate and system resources vista will use up more of your pc.
I would recommend xp pro and upgrade to vista in a year or so when they sort it out. But if your using all new hardware and software you should be ok with vista.
Its a shame they dont have a gaming version of vista that uses less resources and so on.
