i know i've said this before but, say you have a 2Ghz core 2 Duo laptop with 2GB RAM, is it ok to play these powerful games on that kind of laptop?

cpu and ram doesnt make the most important role in 3d performance.
It is the vga. You can have 2Ghz dual core, 2GB ram but if you have let say Ati X200 based VGA onboard chip, you can play....q3 max.
There is no laptop to play this games smoothly (of course if you dont spend 2000 euro on it)

tis all about the graphics card then...
because i want a laptop now, and i wanna move out of home in the summer or something, then i dont think i will be able to buy a Desktop, will be stuck with a laptop

Laptops will never be as powerful as desktops, PJ & myself are about to upgrade to pretty highspec pc's for less than £800 in VAT (inc TFT), if your intrested keep an eye on the "Your PC Spec" post
