When you download with internet explorer you get zipped files they dont work , with FİREFOX I could download pk3 file of new maps !! This is my experience it costed me 1 hour to get iYesterday ppl couldnt download,tried to find from different map web sites it was like chaos !! That means dont use internet explorer ,Firefox was my choice ,also ppl can try other explorers !!

i prefer firefox too, but when explorer downloads .pk3 files as .zip files
then you can just rename the .zip into .pk3 and voilla file is there.

Thats because .pk3 is actually the same as .zip
You will know this when you start building custom maps for q3 yourself

Few maps won't be working or found on other pages cuz i often fix them if necessary. So use only maps from V page else none can guarantee that it will work. Internet Explorer is changing the extension from .pk3 to .zip when you download them from the list! You won't see this effect with chrome or firefox. So if u using Internet Explorer download maps
1.directly from download section or
2. From maplist and just rename the extension from .zip to .pk3 or
3. Simply download the pack CV Map Pack 02. It's a zip file where all the new maps (. Pk3) are archived
